"This book was absolutely brilliant. I particularly enjoyed the dark, twisted vibe that it portrayed and how the author managed to create an intricate world and story about demons, love and monsters. The writing in itself was one of my favourite things. It was poetic, inspiring and addictive, and I stopped almost every chapter with the urge to write a line down because of how good, relatable and real it was. The queerness of the story only enhanced this aspect, as it was very well-written. As a queer person myself, I could easily understand and relate to Alexander's struggles and the way people viewed them, which was both heartbreaking and inspiring. The love story was like a light in the dark in the middle of everything and I truly loved how it was both dark and hopeful in a very beautiful way. The plot was great, surprising and quite unique.
